Surfboard repairs, done properly

Materials and methods are chosen to suit the board and the damage, with attention to strength, finish and how the board feels in the water.

Ding repairs

Small knocks and pressure dings from travel, rocks or the car park. Sealed properly so water can't track into the foam.

Cracks and splits

Stress cracks along the deck or nose are opened up, reinforced and refinished rather than just filled over.

Holes and larger damage

Where foam has been crushed or torn out, it's replaced and the shape rebuilt before new glass goes on.

Deck, bottom and rail repairs

Rails and deck take the hardest hits. Each area is repaired with the right cloth and layup for that part of the board.

Structural restoration

Snapped or badly weakened boards are assessed individually. Where a repair makes sense, the structure is rebuilt to carry load again.

Lamination and finishing

Laminating, hot coating, sanding and polishing so the finished repair works with the board rather than against it.

Getting a quote

Clear photos are usually enough for an initial assessment. More complex damage — delamination, water inside the blank or a broken board — may need an in-person inspection before a final quote can be given.

Pickup more than 25 km from WSR carries a $30 AUD fee.

Not sure what your board needs?

Message WSR on WhatsApp with clear photos of the damage and you'll get an initial assessment.
